bigpolehbear: this somehow works better small. it gets busy when i blow it up. maybe a bit more separation between the butterfly and background. or the other way around and make it blend in to the point of having to find it. |

A photographer has to consider every part of the composition, I see no evidence of composition recognition in this. It would be beautiful if the Daffodils were the focal point, and the busy, out-of-focus background wasn't there. Or, it might have been a photo with a message if the people in the background were the focal point and the Daffodils were absent, or just a small bottom, out-of-focus rim.
As it is, the photograph is uninspiring and confusing. What makes me sad is that I can tell that the photographer has the rudiments required to be a good photographer! |

Sponsor | | rwpi | Apr 25, 9:18pm | don't be sad. well .... a tulip in jail is a bit sad....and funny... my image clearly wasn't done/finished. tough crowd here. some good points 116 you are a sweet talker. your crit put a fire under my but. your right. it lacked focus. but lets lighten up on the composition theory 101. it's supposed to say park. the people are supposed to be busy, blurry and secondary to the flowers. intensionally. the iron posts are decor. they are the third element but important . i think. a bit of park info but mainly decor.
ok so my up load was a bit premature. hows this for a quick fix? and one more of the same Philadelphia shoot.
